Eaton Vance Acquires Calvert Investment Management

On December 30, 2016, Eaton Vance Corporation announced that it had acquired substantially all of the business assets of Calvert Investment Management, Inc.

The transaction between Eaton Vance Corp. (“Eaton Vance”) and Calvert Investment Management, Inc. (“Calvert Investment”) was announced in October 21, 2016. Now that the deal has closed, a new Eaton Vance subsidiary, Calvert Research and Management, has been formed. Calvert Research and Management’s investment advisory agreements have been approved by the Calvert mutual funds’ (“Calvert Funds”) Boards of Trustees. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Eaton Vance is a global asset manager. Together with its affiliates, Eaton Vance manages $336.4 billion in assets under management as of October 31, 2016. Calvert Investment is a manager of mutual funds with $12.2 billion of fund and separate accounts assets under management as of October 31, 2016. John Streur will be remain with the business and be President and Chief Executive Officer of Calvert Research and Management.
