On September 30, 2019, Eastspring Investments Limited announced an agreement to acquire 50.1% of Thanachart Fund Management Co., Ltd.
Under the terms of the transaction, Eastspring Investments Limited (“Eastspring”) will be acquiring Government Savings Bank’s 25% stake in Thanachart Fund Management Co., Ltd. (“Thanachart Fund”) and Thanachart Bank Public Company Ltd.’s 25.1% stake. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Eastspring is the Asian asset management business of Prudential plc with £169 billion in assets under management.
Thanachart Fund is a Thai mutual fund manager with £5.4 billion in mutual funds under management.
