On April 11, 2018, Vector Capital announced that Dyal Capital Partners made a strategic minority investment in Vector Capital.
Dyal Capital Partners (“Dial”) completed its acquisition of a passive minority stake in Vector Capital (“Vector”) for an undisclosed sum. There will be no changes to Vector’s day to day operations, strategy, and investment methods. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Dyal, established in 2011, is a private equity fund managed by Neuberger Berman Group that specializes in minority stake acquisitions of alternative asset managers. Dyal has over $13 billion in assets under management as of April 2018.
Vector, established in 1997 and based in San Francisco, is a private equity firm that focuses on technology investments in equity and credit markets. Vector has $3.8 billion in capital under management.
