DeVoe & Company published an RIA M&A Deal Report for the first quarter of 2023 (the “Report”), which analyzes M&A activity among Registered Investment Advisors. The Report shows that M&A activity slowed in the first quarter of 2023, dropping 22% compared to the same period last year. As of the date of the report, 38 RIA transactions had been completed. However, the transactions that are happening are much larger with 39% of transactions involving sellers with over $1 billion in assets.
