On September 28, 2021, Cresset Asset Management, LLC announced that it planned to merge with Berman Capital Advisors.
Under the terms of the agreement, Cresset Asset Management, LLC (“Cresset”) merged with Berman Capital Advisors (“Berman”). Berman’s thirty-three-member team joined Cresset. The merger was completed on September 30, 2021. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cresset, based in Chicago, Illinois, is an independent multi-family office and private investment firm, serving entrepreneurs, executives, CEO founders, wealth creators, partners, and high-net-worth and multi-generational families. As of September 30, 2021, Cresset had approximately $20 billion in assets under management.
Berman, based in Atlanta, Georgia, is an independent registered investment advisor, offering both traditional and alternative investment options. As of August 2021, Berman managed approximately $4.7 billion in assets.
