Credit Suisse Sells J O Hambro to Bermuda National

On March 28, 2013, J O Hambro Investment Management Limited announced that Credit Suisse AG, its parent, had agreed to sell J O Hambro’s holding company and affiliates to Bermuda National Limited (BSX: BNL.BH) and J O Hambro’s management.

On March 28, 2013, J O Hambro Investment Management Limited announced that its parent, Credit Suisse AG, had entered into a definitive agreement to sell J O Hambro CS Limited, the holding company of J O Hambro and its affiliates, to Bermuda National Limited (BSX: BNL.BH) and J O Hambro’s management.  J O Hambro is a London-based investment manager with approximately £3.6 billion in assets under management and specializes in discretionary portfolio management for private clients, charities, and institutions.  Bermuda National is a financial services holding company that owns banks and investment advisory businesses.  Bermuda National will retain J O Hambro’s management team while allowing their continued autonomy in managing the business, with an opportunity for management to become shareholders in J O Hambro.  The transaction is subject to regulatory approval from the UK’s Financial Services Authority.
