Crédit Agricole Sells Private Equity Unit to Coller Capital

On December 16, 2011, Crédit Agricole S.A. and Coller Capital announced an agreement to sell 100% of Crédit Agricole Private Equity to Coller Capital for an undisclosed amount.


On December 16, 2011, Crédit Agricole S.A. and Coller Capital announced an agreement for the sale of 100% of Crédit Agricole Private Equity (“CAPE”) to Coller Capital, including substantially all of the funds managed by CAPE and owned by Crédit Agricole Capital Investment Finance, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Crédit Agricole S.A.  Crédit Agricole will continue to invest in small and medium sized enterprises through private equity vehicles owned by Crédit Agricole Regional Banks and IDIA, a Crédit Agricole partner that provides equity and financing to agrifood companies and agribusinesses.  Coller Capital, headquartered in London, New York, and Hong Kong, is a global investor in private equity’s secondary market.  The terms of the transaction, which is subject to regulatory authorization, were not disclosed.
