On January 10, 2025, Snowden Lane Partners announced that it had redeemed a significant portion of the ownership stake held by Seward & Kissel client Estancia Capital Partners.
Snowden Lane Partners (“Snowden”) announced on January 10, 2025, that it had redeemed a significant portion of the ownership stake held by its private equity sponsor Estancia Capital Partners (“Estancia”). Snowden’s remaining shareholders, including Snowden advisors and employees, now own approximately two-thirds of the firm. As part of this transaction, Snowden also provided partial liquidity to vested advisor owners, who were able to realize up to 40% of their equity holdings. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Snowden, based in New York City, is a registered investment adviser and broker-dealer that provides wealth advisory services to high net-worth individuals, families and institutions. As of December 2024, Snowden’s client assets were approximately $11.7 billion.
Estancia, based in Philadelphia, is a specialist private equity firm focusing on lower-middle market investments in quality asset management, wealth management, capital markets and related business services and technology firms. As of December 2024, Estancia had approximately $603 million in committed capital.
