On December 2, 2025, Creative Planning announced its acquisition of Burt Wealth Advisors.
Creative Planning (“Creative Planning”) announced, on December 2, 2025, its acquisition of Burt Wealth Advisors (“Burt Wealth”). Under the terms of the transaction, Burt Wealth will adopt the Creative Planning brand. Further terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Creative Planning, based in Overland Park, Kansas, is a registered investment advisor offering investment management, financial planning, tax planning, trust, and retirement services. As of September 30, 2025, Creative Planning had approximately $390 billion in combined assets under management and advisement.
Burt Wealth, based in North Bethesda, Maryland, is a registered investment advisor offering financial planning, tax, business, and retirement services. Burt Wealth has approximately $1 billion in assets under management. Gorman Jones served as Burt Wealth’s exclusive financial advisor in the acquisition.
