On December 1, 2021, CI Private Wealth announced that it acquired Matrix Capital Advisors, LLC.
Under the terms of the transaction, CI Private Wealth, a division of CI Financial Corp. (“CI”), acquired Matrix Capital Advisors, LLC (“Matrix”). Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CI (NYSE: CIXX) is an independent company, based in Toronto, Canada, engaged in global asset management and wealth management advisory services. As of October 31, 2021, CI had approximately $283.4 billion in assets under management and advisement.
Matrix, based in Chicago, is a registered investment adviser serving high net-worth individuals and families. As of October 31, 2021, Matrix had $615 million in assets under management. Cambridge International Partners LLC advised Matrix on the deal.
