On November 3, 2020, CI Financial Corp. announced that it will acquire a majority interest in Stavis & Cohen Financial LLC.
Under the terms of the agreement, CI Financial Corp. (“CI”) will acquire a majority interest in Stavis & Cohen Financial LLC (“Stavis”). The transaction is expected to close prior to the end of 2020, and is subject to customary closing conditions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Stavis is a wealth management firm based in Houston that offers retirement planning, investment management, risk management, estate planning and business succession services. It has approximately $570 million in assets under management. Park Sutton Advisors, LLC served as financial advisor to Stavis on the transaction.
