On December 15, 2021, CI Financial Corp. announced that it will acquire Columbia Pacific Wealth Management.
Under the terms of the transaction, CI Financial Corp. (“CI”) will acquire Columbia Pacific Wealth Management (“Columbia Pacific”). As part of the transaction, CI will acquire a minority stake in Columbia Pacific Advisors, LLC (“CPA”), an alternate asset management firm. Berkshire Global Advisors LP served as financial adviser to Columbia Pacific and CPA. The deal was expected to close by the end of December. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CI (NYSE: CIXX) is an independent company, based in Toronto, Canada, engaged in global asset management and wealth management advisory services. As of November 30, 2021, CI had approximately $264.6 billion in assets under management and advisement.
Columbia Pacific, based in Seattle, Washington is a financial advisory firm that provides a variety of wealth management services to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. Columbia Pacific has approximately $6.4 billion in assets under management.
