On May 19, 2022, CI Financial Corp. announced it had acquired Galapagos Partners, L.P.
Under the terms of the transaction, CI Financial Corp. (“CI”) has acquired Galapagos Partners, L.P. (“Galapagos Partners”). The transaction closed on April 29, 2022. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
CI (NYSE: CIXX) is an independent company, based in Toronto, Canada, is engaged in global asset management and wealth management advisory services. As of May 20, 2022, CI had approximately $354.6 billion in assets under management and advisement.
Galapagos Partners, L.P. is a Houston, Texas-based investment advisory firm serving ultra-high-net-worth families and private clients for over twenty years. As of April 29, 2022, Galapagos Partners managed $868 million in assets. Berkshire Global Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to Galapagos Partners on this transaction.
