Charles Schwab to Acquire Wasmer, Schroeder & Company

On February 24, 2020, The Charles Schwab Corporation announced an agreement to acquire Wasmer, Schroder & Company, LLC.

Pursuant to the agreement, The Charles Schwab Corporation (“Schwab”) will acquire Wasmer, Schroder & Company, LLC (“Wasmer”) in an all cash purchase. Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Schwab (NYSE: SCHW), based in California, is a provider of financial services including wealth management, securities brokerage, banking, asset management, custody, and financial advisory services. As of January 1, 2020, Schwab has $4.05 trillion in client assets.

Wasmer, based in Florida, is an investment advisor specializing in the management of separate account fixed income portfolios for high net worth individuals, families, and institutions. As of December 31, 2019, Wasmer has $10.5 billion in assets.
