Charles Schwab Acquires Minority Stake in Dynasty

On December 16, 2022, The Charles Schwab Corporation announced an agreement to acquire a minority stake in Dynasty Financial Partners.

Pursuant to the agreement, The Charles Schwab Corporation (“Charles Schwab”) will become a minority investor in Dynasty Financial Partners (“Dynasty”). Further terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Schwab (NYSE: SCHW), based in California, is a provider of financial services including wealth management, securities brokerage, banking, asset management, custody, and financial advisory services. As of November, 2022, Schwab has $7.32 trillion in client assets under management.

Dynasty, based in St. Petersburg, Florida, is a wealth management technology provider specializing in wealth management solutions and business services for financial advisors. Dynasty primarily works with financial advisors serving ultra-high net worth clients.
