Cerity Merges with Investec

On February 22, 2022, Cerity Partners announced that it had merged with Investec Wealth Strategies.

Under the terms of the transaction, Cerity Partners (“Cerity”) merged with Investec Wealth Strategies (“Investec”). The combined firm plans to use the Cerity Partners name and will have over $45 billion in client assets under advisement. Further terms were not disclosed.

Cerity, based in New York, is an independent wealth management firm serving high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as businesses and nonprofit organizations.

Investec, based in Houston, is a wealth management firm providing services to families with investable assets of $1 million or more. Park Sutton Advisors advised Investec on the deal. Park Sutton’s team was led by Steve Levitt and Dan Erichson.
