On January 6, 2023, Cerity Partners announced the acquisition of Maryland Capital Management.
Under the terms of the transaction, Cerity Partners LLC (“Cerity”) acquired Maryland Capital Management (“Maryland Capital”). Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Cerity, based in New York City, is a registered investment advisor that offers financial planning to individuals, families, businesses, and nonprofit organizations. Cerity manages $65 billion in client assets under management and under advisement.
Maryland Capital, based in Towson, Maryland, is a registered investment advisor serving high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. Maryland Capital manages over $2.1 billion in client assets. Park Sutton advised Maryland Capital on the transaction
