Carlton Capital Closes Management Buyout

Carlton Capital Partners’ management, backed by Capsicum Private Office, has completed a buyout of the firm from former partners and holding company, Carlton Partners.

 

Carlton Capital Partners (“CCP”), the London based independent investment management firm, has completed a management buyout (an “MBO”) from former partners and holding company, Carlton Partners.  The MBO was led by CCP’s co-founder and chief executive Eric Schots, along with Tom Maier, chief investment officer, and Fiaz Khan, chief operating officer.  Capsicum Private Office, a British family office, provided assistance and financial backing for the MBO and became a joint venture partner.

 

CCP runs absolute return portfolios directed towards ultra-high net worth individuals and institutions.  Its flagship portfolio, Monarch, has generated 12.30% returns for investors over the past two years, outperforming the market MSCI World Equity Index by 41.53% and the Absolute Return HFR FoF Composite Index by 19.59% over the same period.
