On January 14, 2022, Captrust Financial Advisors, LLC announced its acquisition of Portfolio Evaluations, Inc.
Under the terms of the transaction, Captrust Financial Advisors, LLC (“Captrust”) acquired Portfolio Evaluations, Inc. (“PEI”). PEI will assume the Captrust brand moving forward. The deal closed in late 2021. Further terms of the deals were not disclosed.
Captrust, based in Raleigh, North Carolina, is an independent registered investment advisor providing investment management, financial planning, estate planning, tax advisory and compliance for individuals and families. As of September 30, 2021, Captrust had approximately $85 billion in assets under management and $660 billion in assets under advisement.
PEI, based in Warren, New Jersey, is a consulting firm providing advice, guidance, direction and education to the fiduciaries of institutional investment programs, including retirement plans, foundations, endowments, and family office groups. PEI has approximately $107 billion in assets.
