Capstone Equities Bids to Acquire Stake in Italian Fund

On November 11, 2014, Investment & Pensions Europe reported that New York-based Capstone Equities Manager had launched a €26.5 million bid to acquire a partial stake in an Italian closed-end fund.


On November 11, 2014, Investment & Pensions Europe reported that New York-based Capstone Equities Manager (“Capstone”) had launched a €26.5 million bid to acquire a 33% stake in Fondo Europa Immobiliare N.1 (“Fondo”), an Italian closed-end fund managed by Vegagest SGR (“Vegagest”).  

Capstone, which is owned and managed by Joshua Zamir, currently invests 80% of its assets in Europe. It intends to acquire 37,423 shares in Fondo at €710 per share.  

Fondo owns 13 commercial real estate assets in Italy and elsewhere abroad. The fund is currently set to close in 2017.
