C-III Capital Acquires Special Servicing and CDO Businesses from JER Partners

On August 30, 2011 C-III Capital Partners LLC announced that it had acquired the commercial real estate special servicing and CDO management businesses of real estate investment manager JER Partners.

On August 30, 2011 C-III Capital Partners LLC announced that it had acquired the commercial real estate special servicing and CDO management businesses of JER Partners.  JER, a private real estate investment management company, is the named special servicer for approximately $35.5 billion of commercial real estate loans, approximately $4 billion of which is currently in special servicing and under active management.  JER’s special servicing business will be merged into C-III Asset Management LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of C-III Capital Partners.  After the acquisition C-III will be the special servicer of approximately $152 billion in loans, $17 billion of which are currently in special servicing.  C-III Capital Partners is a commercial real estate services company based in Irving, Texas and provides primary and special loan servicing, loan origination, fund management and principal investment services.
