Brookfield Issues C$425 Million Medium Term Notes

On April 3, 2012, Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (TSX: BAM.A, NYSE: BAM, Euronext: BAMA) announced that it would offer C$425 million of medium term unsecured notes due April 2019, with a yield of 3.95%.

On April 3, 2012, Brookfield Asset Management Inc. (TSX: BAM.A, NYSE: BAM, Euronext: BAMA) announced that it would offer C$425 million of medium term unsecured notes.  The notes have an April 2019 maturity and a yield of 3.95%.  The net proceeds of the offering will be used to refinance US$350 million of 7.13% notes that will mature on June 15, 2012 and for general corporate purposes.  Brookfield Asset Management Inc. is a Toronto, Ontario-based global alternative asset manager with approximately $150 billion in assets under management.  Brookfield focuses on property, renewable power, infrastructure, and private equity.
