On December 1, 2017, Bankhaus Lampe announced the sale of Lampe Equity Management to Brookfield Asset Management.
Lampe Equity Management (“Lampe”), the asset management unit of the CEE Group, a subsidiary of Bankhaus Lampe, will sell five CEE renewable funds and assets under management worth approximately €1.3 billion to Brookfield Asset Management (“Brookfield”). As part of the transaction, all of the Lampe employees in its Hamburg location will join Brookfield. Following customary regulatory approval, the sale is likely to be completed at the end of the year. The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Bankhaus Lampe is a Germany based independent private bank with assets under management of more than €19 billion. Bankhaus Lampe offers wealth and asset management as well as corporate finance services for private, corporate, and institutional clients.
Brookfield (NYSE: BAM) is a Canada-based alternative asset manager with approximately $265 billion in assets under management.
