BlackRock to Acquire ElmTree

On July 7, 2025, BlackRock, Inc. announced its agreement to acquire ElmTree Funds.

BlackRock, Inc. (“BlackRock”) announced, on July 7, 2025, its agreement to acquire ElmTree Funds (“ElmTree”). Under the terms of the transaction, upfront consideration will be paid primarily in stock, with the potential for additional consideration subject to ElmTree performance over the next five years. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.

BlackRock (NYSE: BLK), based in New York, is an investment company offering investment management, risk management and advisory services. As of March 31, 2025, BlackRock had approximately $11.58 trillion in assets under management.

ElmTree, based in St. Louis, Missouri, is a real estate private equity firm that makes strategic investments in the commercial real estate net-lease and build-to-suit sectors with a focus on industrial properties. As of March 31, 2025, ElmTree had approximately $7.3 billion in assets under management.
