On October 19, 2023, Beacon Pointe Advisors LLC announced that it had acquired the Reed Finney team and Private Capital Management Inc.
Under the terms of the transaction, Beacon Pointe Advisors LLC (“Beacon Pointe”) acquired the Reed Finney Team from Bleakley Financial and Private Capital Management LLC (“PCM”).
Beacon Pointe, based in Newport Beach, California, is a registered investment adviser that helps clients determine investment goals, establish asset allocation guidelines, evaluate fund performance, screen investment managers for selection, and develop strategic financial plans. As of March 2023, Beacon Pointe had approximately $25 billion in assets under management.
Reed Finney, based in Fairfield, New Jersey, is formerly affiliated with Bleakley Financial Group, and is specialized in wealth management with a focus on investment consulting, retirement readiness planning, education cost planning, and strategic tax and estate planning. As of October 2023, the Reed Finney team had $700 million assets under management.
PCM, based in Larskpur, California, is a financial advisory firm providing investment advisory, wealth management, and financial planning. As of October 2023, PCM had $200 million in assets under management. Park Sutton Advisors served as financial advisor to PCM on the transaction.
