On March 15, 2023, Barings LLC announced the acquisition of Gryphon Partners Pty Ltd.
Under the terms of the agreement, Barings LLC (“Barings”) has acquired all the assets of Gryphon Partners Pty Ltd. (“Gryphon”). Gryphon’s entire team will move to Barings and join its global structured finance team. Further terms were not disclosed.
Barings, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, is an investment management firm and a subsidiary of MassMutual Financial Group. As of December 31, 2022, Barings had over $347 billion in assets under management.
Gryphon, is an Australian investment manager specializing in structured finance and the Australian fixed income market. Gryphon manages approximately A$2.6 billion in client assets.
