Baird announced, on September 9, 2025, its minority stake investment in Sagard. Under the terms of the transaction, Sagard’s team will remain in place. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Baird, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is a privately-held financial services firm offering private wealth management and asset management services. As of June 2025, Baird had approximately $350 billion in client assets.
Sagard, based in Montreal, is an alternative asset manager active in venture capital, private equity, private credit and real estate. Sagard has approximately $32 billion in assets under management.
