ARA Asset Management Acquires Macquarie Real Estate Korea

On December 23, 2013, ARA Asset Management announced that it will acquire Macquarie Real Estate Korea, a real estate management company that manages two privately held Korean Real Estate Investment Trusts.

On December 23, 2013, ARA Asset Management Limited announced that it will acquire Macquarie Real Estate Korea Limited (MREK).  MREK is a real estate management company that manages two privately held Korean Real Estate Investment Trusts (K-REITs), which together have approximately KRW 588.4 billion in assets under management.  ARA will also acquire a 10.02% stake in one of the K-REITs.  ARA is a real estate fund management company focusing on REITs, private real estate funds, real estate management services and corporate finance advisory services.  The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
