AM Investment Partners and BAM Capital Agree to Merge

AM Investment Partners and BAM Capital announced that they have agreed to a merger of equals.

In a press release dated March 30, 2010, New York based AM Investment Partners, LLC (“AM Investment”) and BAM Capital, LLC (“BAM”) announced that they have agreed to a merger of equals.  No money will be exchanged and the alternative asset managers will contribute their respective portfolios, management teams and infrastructure.  The combined entity, named AM Investment Partners, will be led by BAM Capital co-founders Ross Berman and Hal Mintz, along with AM Investment co-founders Mark Friendman and Adam Sterm.  The new entity, which will have approximately $600 million in assets under management, will continue to focus primarily on relative value strategies within the volatility asset class.  The transaction, which is subject to customary closing conditions and consents, is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2010.
