On June 14, 2019, Alma Capital Investment Management S.A. announced that it had entered into an agreement to acquire DWS Group & GmbH Co KGaA’s Global Hedge Fund UCITS Business.
Pursuant to the agreement, Alma Capital Investment Management S.A. (“Alma Capital”) will acquire DWS Group & GmbH Co KGaA’s (“DWS”) Hedge Fund UCITS Business. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval from the CSSF and is expected to close during the second half of 2019. Further terms of the deal were not disclosed.
DWS (ETR: DWS) is an asset management firm headquartered in Germany. DWS has €2 billion in assets under management in its hedge fund UCITS business and €85 billion in total assets under management.
Alma Capital is a privately-owned asset management company with offices in Luxembourg, Paris, and London. Alma Capital’s assets under management or advisory are near $2 billion.
