On June 8, 2022, Alera Group Wealth Services announced its acquisition of Wharton Business Group.
Under the terms of the transaction, Alera Group Wealth Services (“Alera Wealth”) acquired Wharton Business Group (“WBG”). Additional terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Alera Wealth, based in Deerfield, Illinois, is an insurance and wealth services firm and a division of Alera Group. Alera Group is an independent, national insurance, and wealth services firm with more than $980 million in annual revenue.
WBG, based in Pennsylvania, is an employee-owned wealth services firm. WBG manages more than $3.5 billion in assets for business owners and institutions. DeVoe & Company advised WBG on the transaction
