Ackermans & van Haaren Acquires Majority Stake in JM Finn

On June 28, 2011, Belgian investment group Ackermans & van Haaren (Euronext Brussels: ACKB), through its wealth management affiliate Delen Investments, announced an agreement to acquire an approximate 70 percent stake in London-based wealth manager JM Finn & Co Ltd.


On June 28, 2011, diversified Belgian investment group Ackermans & van Haaren (Euronext Brussels: ACKB) announced that it had agreed to acquire an approximate 70 percent stake in London-based wealth manager JM Finn & Co Ltd through its wealth management affiliate, Delen Investments, for approximately sixty-seven million euros.  Delen Investments financed the investment out of its own cash resources.  JM Finn & Co is a London-based private client wealth manager with approximately £6.3 billion funds under management.  The deal is expected to help Delen penetrate the UK onshore wealth management market. The new combined business will manage approximately twenty-two billion euros in assets.  The transaction is expected to close sometime in the third quarter of 2011, subject only to UK regulatory approvals.
