Abraaj Capital Acquires Aureos

On February 20, 2012, Abraaj Capital announced that it had acquired Aureos Capital, a global private equity fund management group.


On February 20, 2012, private equity manager Abraaj Capital announced that it had acquired Aureos Capital.  Aureos is a global private equity fund management group investing in small and medium-sized enterprises in Asia, Africa, and Latin America.  Abraaj is a Dubai-based private equity manager investing in the economies of the Middle East, Turkey, Asia, and Africa.  The transaction will expand Abraaj’s global emerging markets and private equity footprint and will bring combined assets under management to approximately $7.5 billion.  The transaction, which is subject to investor and regulatory approvals, is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2012.
